Jeff Ruble, Director of Economic Development for Richland County.

Jeff Ruble is Director of Economic Development for Richland County, where he leads an office responsible for recruiting and growing business and industry for the area including Columbia, South Carolina’s state capital.

Over the past 30 years, Ruble has served at regional and state-wide economic development groups, where he recruited or supported the recruitment of companies investing more than $17 billion and creating more than 60,000 jobs.

He has served as President of the South Carolina Economic Developers Association (SCEDA), and serves on the executive committees of Central SC Alliance, the I-77 Economic Development Alliance and the Columbia USC Incubator. He was recently recognized as the Local Developer of the Year by SCEDA and was recently named one of Columbia’s 50 most influential people of the past year.
