John Tingen (a/k/a Elvis) and his wife, Janice ringing the bell at Green’s on Assembly. Elvis wowed the crowds as they shopped, ringing his sleigh bells for the Salvation Army. Several little old ladies had to have their picture taken with “the king.” Others said they don’t usually put money in the bucket this early in the year (it was the first day of ringing), but since it was “Elvis.” Some asked him to sing. As always, it was a blessing to us to be able to ring the bell.
As Elvis would say, “Thank you, thank you very much!”
