For our meeting Monday April 12th 2021 we welcome Sid Kenyon the General Manager of Colonial Life Arena.

Sid Kenyon serves as the General Manager for Colonial Life Arena and is instrumental in creating memories for fans across the Midlands and providing a first-class experience for tours of all kinds. Prior to the Pandemic, Colonial Life Arena held the highest ranking in South Carolina for The Carolinas Top Stops according to Venues Now, a nationally distributed magazine focusing on the sports and entertainment industry.

Additionally, Kenyon serves as the Director of the Carolina Coliseum and is an Adjunct Professor in Sport and Entertainment Management at the University of South Carolina. While roles have varied, Kenyon began employment with the University in 1977.

During the pause from live entertainment events, the Carolina Coliseum became a COVID-19 primary testing site for University students, faculty, and staff. Kenyon has played a key role in the planning of athletic events with COVID-19 safety protocols implemented for patrons, athletes, and staff. During the Pandemic, Kenyon has also served as liaison for blood drives in partnership with the American Red Cross and vaccine clinics with the Columbia VA Health Care System, all of which have been hosted at Colonial Life Arena. Kenyon and the Colonial Life Arena staff have worked to enhance safety procedures and are thrilled begin entertaining families again in the coming weeks at the facility.
