For our meeting Monday Feb 24th 2020 we welcome Thoyd Warren the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Babcock Center.

Thoyd holds a B.A. in Social Work from Winthrop University and is a licensed social worker in the state of South Carolina. He also holds a certificate in Non-Profit Management from Winthrop University’s College of Business Administration Institute of Management.

He has extensive expertise in the field of disabilities with over 24 years of experience. He has served as the Executive Director of both the Sumter and Kershaw County Disabilities and Special Needs Boards and was previously the Director for the KershawHealth Home Health and Hospice. Mr. Warren is committed to his community and has served on several community boards in Kershaw and Sumter Counties and is a graduate of the 1999 United Way Blueprint for Leadership class. He is also a past member of the Camden and Sumter Palmetto Rotary Clubs.

He currently serves on the Commission of the Central Carolina Technical College. He is also a member of the FY 2020 Board of Directors of the Transportation Association of South Carolina. He is Chair of the SC Chapter of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and is Secretary for the South Carolina Human Service Providers Association. He is also a member of the Columbia Rotary Club.

Mr. Warren has been married for 26 years, to the former Kim Taylor, and they have two children, Taylor, 23 and TJ, 16.
