Justin E. Hancock, Director of the Office of Recreation, Grants and Policy.

Justin Hancock is the Director of the Office of Recreation, Grants and Policy at the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism. The office is responsible for the administration of eight grant programs, including the Land & Water Conservation Fund, the Recreational Trails Program, the Parks and Recreation Development Fund, Sports Tourism Advertising and Recruitment, Undiscovered SC Tourism Enhancement Program, the Beach Renourishment grant program, Emerging Destinations and the Destination Specific Marketing Fund. Justin also serves as the agency’s special projects liaison for Congressional Delegation offices, state and local officials, tourism and recreation organizations, and the state’s tourism and recreation industries. Justin began working at SCPRT in 2007 as Assistant to the Director for Policy and was responsible for policy development and agency reporting. He also assisted in the development of many of the grant programs he now oversees. He was promoted to his current position in April 2018.
