Matt Littlejohn, CEO of MUSC Health in the Midlands. 

Matt Littlejohn has served as CEO of MUSC Health in the Midlands since May 2023. He joined MUSC Health from Community Health Systems, where he served as Network CEO for the North Carolina market, overseeing Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Davis Regional Medical Center, and an extensive outpatient network. During his tenure, Matt led significant programmatic expansion and delivered impressive volume growth across the region.

A Columbia native, Matt earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. While at MUSC, he completed a summer internship at what is now MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown—an experience that makes his current leadership role especially meaningful.

Matt began his career at Roper St. Francis Healthcare in Charleston before serving in leadership roles with the Bon Secours ministry in Greenville, SC, and later Community Health Systems. He is passionate about advancing MUSC Health’s mission in his hometown, ensuring patients in the Midlands have access to exceptional care close to home.

Matt and his wife are parents of two young children. With deep family roots in the Columbia area, they are thrilled to be in South Carolina and invested in the future health and wellness of the community.
