Paul Mainieri, University of South Carolina Baseball Coach. 

Paul Mainieri was named the 31st head baseball coach at the University of South Carolina on June 11. The Division I active leader in wins as a head coach with 1,505, Mainieri has been a head coach at St. Thomas of Minnesota, Air Force, Notre Dame and LSU, where he guided the Tigers to the 2009 national championship. He is a four-time national Coach of the Year honoree, a two-time SEC Coach of the Year and was elected to the ABCA Hall of Fame in 2014. Mainieri has led his teams to six College World Series appearances, four SEC championships and six SEC Tournament championships.
