​Samantha Yager serves as the Solid Waste Superintendent for the City of Columbia, where she has nearly 15 years of experience overseeing solid waste management for the Capital City.

She also serves on the Board of Directors for the South Carolina chapter of the American Public Works Association and Keep the Midlands Beautiful. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, holding a BA and a Master’s in Mass Communication.

With a passion for community engagement and a sustainable future, she is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Columbia’s residents. In her free time, Samantha loves to play tennis and take her two rescues, Lucy and Lola, on adventures to the dog park.
