Bill Ellen’s title is President and CEO of Experience Columbia SC. 

A native South Carolinian, Bill Ellen spent the last 40+ years in the hospitality and tourism industry. A 30+ year career in hotel management and ownership before transitioning into Destination Marketing and Facility Management. Currently Bill serves as president and CEO of Experience Columbia SC where he leads the overall management of the Columbia Metropolitan Convention & Visitors Bureau, Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center and Columbia Regional Sports Council.

He serves as Vice-Chair of the SC Travel & Tourism Coalition and board member of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce.

Bill and his wife, Jackie reside in Columbia and have 3 children and are members of Shandon United Methodist Church.
