Dr. Greg D. Little, President, Midlands Technical College.
Dr. Gregory D. Little became the seventh President of Midlands Technical College (MTC) in Columbia, South Carolina, on July 1, 2024.
A strong believer in the transformative power of education, Dr. Little began his career as a seventh-grade language arts teacher in Durham, North Carolina. He later became an English instructor with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and also served in leadership roles as Lexington County School District One Superintendent, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Innovation for the South Carolina Technical College System, and most recently as the Interim President and Chief Executive Officer for the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education.
Dr. Little received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Doctoral Degree in Education focused on Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Little serves on numerous boards of directors, including the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Columbia Urban League, Central SC Alliance, and the Central Midlands Council of Governments. Dr. Little is an ex officio member of the MTC Foundation Board.
He and his wife Julie live in Lexington County and have two beautiful daughters.
