Brian Klauk, PE, CPM, ENV SP

Project Manager for Carolina Crossroads

South Carolina Department of Transportation

Brian Klauk currently serves as the Project Manager for the Carolina Crossroads I-20/26/126 Corridor Improvement Project within the Mega Projects Division at SCDOT.

During his 20-plus-year career, he has been part of teams to deliver the design and construction of horizontal and vertical infrastructure projects while working for SCDOT, the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism, and several consulting firms. He is also privileged to serve as a volunteer design engineer on international development projects, including children’s homes, a hospital, a senior care facility, and innovative disaster relief shelters that help children and families step out of poverty and into hope.

Brian is a registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina, a Certified Public Manager, and an Envision® Sustainability Professional. He lives in Chapin, SC with his wife and five children.

 

 

Ladd Gibson, P.E., Assoc. DBIA

Program Director for Mega Projects

Ladd Gibson is a 1991 graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and is registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of South Carolina and certified as an Associate Design-Build Professional with the Design-Build Institute of America.

Ladd began his career as a Nuclear Engineer with Norfolk Naval Shipyard, served as a construction manager with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, and worked in both design and construction management roles in the private sector with Calyx Engineers. 

Since joining the South Carolina Department of Transportation in 2006, he has served as Program Manager, Design-Build Engineer, Director of Preconstruction, and is currently serving as the Program Director for Mega Projects.
