For our meeting Monday Oct 19th 2020, we welcome Robert Cofield – Chief Executive Officer, Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Robert (Bo) Cofield, DrPH, FACHE, currently serves as the chief executive officer for Prisma Health Richland Hospital, where he is responsible for the effective coordination and management of clinical services and implementing Prisma Health’s strategic plan. Prior to joining Prisma Health, he served as operations chief at UK Healthcare in Lexington, Kentucky, UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, and in various roles at UAB Health System in Birmingham, Alabama. Cofield completed his administrative fellowship and received master’s and doctoral degrees at Tulane University in New Orleans. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and has enjoyed serving his community via non‐profit board leadership roles for organizations such as Bluegrass Care Navigators, March of Dimes, Hospice of the Piedmont, and the Make‐A‐Wish Foundation. He enjoys spending time on the golf course with his son and in the horse ring and field with his daughter. All three of them enjoy spending time with one another on the lake, at the beach and hiking with their family dog, Buddy.
