For our meeting Monday, May 9th 2022, we welcome
S. Anne Walker President & CEO Alston Wilkes Society.

Since 1987, S. Anne Walker has been the Head Coach (some call it President & CEO) of the Alston Wilkes Society in South Carolina.

Anne is Past President of the Columbia Rotary Club and Past District Governor. She is a member of the Board of Governors for the American Correctional Association. Anne is Past President – International Community Justice Association, Past Board Chair – Lander University Board of Trustees & current Trustee, Past President – United Way of Sumter, Clarendon & Lee Counties, Past President – SC Association of Non Profit Organizations (now Together SC), Past Chair – SC State Ethics Commission, Past Chair – Palmetto Project Board of Directors, Past Chair – Administrative Board of Trinity United Methodist Church, Sumter, Co-Founder of THE FORUM and Founder of The Carolinian in Sumter, SC.

Anne attended University High School and the old Columbia High School. She received her B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from Lander College (University). She did graduate work at Clemson University and received her M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina. She also did post-graduate work in Higher Education Administration.

Anne has received numerous local, state and national award, but she is most proud of the relationship she had with her now deceased husband, Rotarian David L. Evans, former school psychologist & Director of Special Services, and their adult daughter Sabrina Melissa Evans, who is a current Rotary Assistant Governor.
