For our meeting Monday Oct 3rd 2019, we welcome District 7770 Governor Johnny Moore. 

Grew up in Spartanburg, SC and graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1971 Graduate of Clemson University 1975 with BS in Industrial Management Founded SouthMed (later became Signal Technologies) in 1992 and managed its growth to become a leader in communications and security systems sales and service. Retired from Signal Technologies in April 2018 and completed the sale of the company in December 2018. Married to Susan Saine Moore and still newlyweds after only 43 years of marriage! Three married daughters, three great sons-in-law and 10 grandchildren ages 11 and under. Member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church where he is an elder, sings in the choir and acts in the drama ministry. Rotary Bio: Joined Rotary Club of St. Andrews-Columbia September 2007 Club President – St. Andrews-Columbia 2010-2011 Foundation Chair – St. Andrews-Columbia 2011-2012 Transferred to Rotary Club of Chapin Sunrise July 1, 2012 Assistant Governor Area 3 of District 7770 2013 – 2016 (Six Clubs in the Northwest of Columbia/Lexington) District 7770 Membership Chair 2016 – 2018 District Governor 2019-2020 Rotary Year Paul Harris Society Member, Paul Harris Fellow (+5), Sustaining Member, and Bequest Society Member Enjoys golf, shooting sports, reading, exercise, riding bicycles with Susan, woodworking and travelling.
