Mr. Daniel Dorsel Governor’s School for Science + Mathematics President.

Mr. Daniel Dorsel is GSSM’s president. He is also a member of GSSM’s Charter Class of 1990. Danny earned a M.A. in Educational Administration from Notre Dame, a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of
South Carolina. Mr. Dorsel started his career as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers before entering into the field of education. During his 16 years in education and prior to returning to GSSM, he served as a high school principal, director of advancement, classroom teacher and coach. Mr. Dorsel serves on the Board of Directors for the National Consortium for Specialized
STEM Schools (NCSSS).
